Mipangilio ya kukwama kwa kawaida huonyeshwa kama Al/St (kwa mfano, 26/7 kwa Drake: nyuzi 26 za alumini, nyuzi 7 za chuma). Kiini cha chuma kinaweza kuwa mabati ya Hatari A, B, au C kulingana na mahitaji ya ulinzi wa kutu.

Ikilinganishwa na waendeshaji wa shaba wa ampacity sawa, ACSR ni nyepesi sana na ya gharama nafuu. Pia inahitaji miundo michache inayosaidia, inayotoa akiba kubwa katika nyenzo, usafirishaji na usakinishaji.
Kwa sababu msingi wa chuma una mgawo wa chini wa upanuzi wa joto kuliko alumini, ACSR hupungua chini ya AAC au AAAC katika halijoto ya juu ya uendeshaji (kwa mfano, wakati wa upakiaji wa dharura au joto la juu la mazingira). Hii inafanya kuwa yanafaa kwa mistari iliyo na kibali kidogo cha ardhi.
